Daily Fantasy Football Week 16 Quarterbacks

ryan tannehill daily fantasy footballIt’s always a good thing when one of your value picks hits it out of the park and puts up a difference maker score for your daily fantasy football team.  If you went with a lower priced QB last week, odds are you were probably happy with your selection.  Matt Cassel, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Flynn and Kirk Cousins all put up over 20 points, which is a nice score considering their low salaries (ex:  Cousins was only $9800 at FanThrowdown).

Could we see more of the same thing this week, or are you going to play it safe at the QB position and go with one of the big names?  To help you with your choice, here is my Week 16 quarterbacks report.  It includes a breakdown of every player’s matchup and fantasy point predictions from our patented software.  If you’re wondering what kind of analysis is included in my player reports, here are a couple of examples:

Eli Manning - Eli sucks and he lost his top WR/Why waste your money or mine?/Avoid at all costs.

Aaron Rodgers - Rodgers hasn’t been named the starter this week, but there is a good chance he plays/The Packers have won 2 straight to get back in the playoff hunt/Pittsburgh is 8th in the league in passing yards allowed per game (222.4) and they have allowed 19 passing TD’s/If Rodgers plays, it will be tough to believe he will hit the ground running/Green Bay will look to protect him, which will limit his upside in the passing game.

Ryan Tannehill - Tannehill’s value is on the uptick/He has over 300-yards passing in 3 of his last 4 starts and 3 TD’s in his last 2 games/In Week 7, he threw for 194 yards and 3 TD’s against the Bills/Buffalo leads the NFL in sacks (49) and Miami has allowed the most sacks in the league (51)/The Bills have moved to 12th in the league in quarterback defense/They have allowed less than 20 fantasy points to the QB in their last 6 games, but they have allowed the 5th most passing TD’s (27) in the league/Tough spot to play Tannehill.

Andy Dalton - Dalton came in as the 2nd ranked QB at scoutPRO this week, which was a surprise/He is projected to pass for over 300 yards against the 2nd worst pass defense to QB’s/Minnesota has allowed the most passing TD’s (32) in the league/4 QB’s have scored over 30 fantasy points against the Vikings this season/Dalton has 3 TD’s or more in 5 of his last 9 games/Upside play.
