If you are still fighting to make the playoffs, leaving a player on your bench that is playing today would not be a good way to kick off Week 13. So here is your reminder to get that lineup set before the Thanksgiving Day games get under way! And to help you out, here are my Week 13 fantasy football start ‘ems and sit ‘ems:
QB – Josh McCown (at Vikings): Great match up and the Bears are desperate for a win.
WR – Nate Burleson (vs. Packers): First game back last week (broken arm) and he didn’t miss a beat. I expect him to have another good game on Thanksgiving.
TE – John Carlson (vs. Bears): In a potential shootout, I expect Carlson to get it done after taking a week off.
K – Graham Gano (vs. Bucs): This is my sneaky kicker start of the week. The Panthers should be able to move the ball on the Bucs, but the Bucs have been playing really well and I could see a lot of red zone stops, and therefore plenty of FG opportunities for Gano.
DEF – Bills (vs. Falcons): Could get ugly for the Falcons having to travel to Buffalo to play in a freezing, snowy game with nothing to play for. *Update: I forgot this game is being played in a dome in Toronto, so weather won’t be a factor.
QB – Ben Roethlisberger (at Ravens): The Ravens have not been giving up anything to QB’s lately.
RB – Pierre Thomas (at Seahawks): It’s going to be tough sailing for Thomas at Seattle. I expect the Saints to take advantage of a banged up secondary and spread them out all game. Darren Sproles should be back, which will limit Thomas’ touches on top of that.
WR – T.Y. Hilton (vs. Titans): Has a shoulder injury and if he plays, it will be against one of the toughest defenses vs. the WR. (Had 5 catches for 44 yards in his first game against the Titans).
TE – Tony Gonzalez (at Bills): The Bills have been stout vs. the TE and Gonzalez hasn’t exactly been lighting it up lately.
DEF – Seahawks (vs. Saints): They are usually awesome at home, but I could see a clunker coming this week against the red hot Saints.
What do you think of my start ‘ems and sit ‘ems?
